Baker House Tour and Dinner

December 7 @ 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$10.00

Our carpool will depart at 4:00

We’ll head to the Oakwood Express in Wildwood for a each pays his own dinner. Following dinner those who wish to tour the Baker House ($10.00pp) will carpool to the site and those not wanting to take the tour will head elsewhere.

The Baker House was built by Senator David H. Baker around 1886, in the community of Orange Home. The home consists of a two story main house with porches on both floors and a separate two story kitchen house. Much of the main house is still original, from it’s beautiful wood floors, to the stained glass window on the second floor landing, it is a beautiful landmark in Sumter County. The house was donated to the City of Wildwood in September 2012 and the Wildwood Area Historical Association is working on the restoration of the house. The home is decorated for Christmas and all ticket sales go directly to the upkeep and restoration of this historic structure.
